Many parents face barriers to teaching English at home. We bring you some ideas for creating an English corner at home:
Where?
Find a small space in your home where you can comfortably fit at least two people - or more if you have a little brother or sister - and designate it as your English corner.
Feel free to involve your child in this, choose the place together, plan what it will look like, what you want to see there. Actually, it could be the bed, the sofa, the dining table, or wherever you're comfortable. Along with your favorite pillows and blankets, you can add your beloved plushies, building blocks, crayons, and anything else you and your child would like to have together. If you've got HD plushies, this is the perfect place for them. (And it'd be great to have a little table nearby.)

How? When?
First, so that your child gets used to it and then gets used to it, we suggest that you discuss together what the rules are in English lessons, how can you talk in English only? It is important to make English part of the daily routine, as regularity is essential in this case.
Everyday watching tales!
Once you have set the "rules" together, it's time for KangiClub! Here you can watch the current story, review vocabulary, play games together. Get comfortable, even snack while you do it. We love the fact that KangiClub also has a variety of games, which can be very exciting for a toddler.
Be creative!
But we encourage you to practice at home using everyday items you can find at home, or even vegetables, fruits and toys you have at home. Name them, count them, pack them in boxes, draw them, arrange them in different shapes... If you need to, make it extra by doing it in the dark with a torch. Believe me, anything is a good way to play English.

Using audio materials at home can be a headache. You can actually listen anywhere from the car to the bath, but if you're struggling to find the time, the English Corner is a great place to do it. The audio includes not only the songs, but also the vocabulary and dialogue for the episodes. Singing and dancing together can be fun not only for the child, but also for the parents, not only because it gets them out of their daily routine, but also because the children are so cute when they dance, it's a joy to "party" with them!
If you feel like it, make a puppet of the characters in the episodes (it's not too much trouble to draw a Flupe ) and act out the stories with the soundtrack. We're sure your little ones will really enjoy it!
Where can we find extra help?

We also have a stamp collecting game to encourage children to learn English with us at home, not just at school. In our regular posts, you can follow the ideas we've collected for English activities at home on Pinterest. While you solve, colour and prepare them, feel free to listen to the audio in the background.
You see, English at home is only limited by your imagination! If you do encounter difficulties, ask your children. They'll have a trick or two up their sleeve!
